All signs are pointing toward the imminent launch of a music discovery service from Twitter. Last month it was reported that the social networking giant acquired music service We Are Hunted -- news that was verified yesterday by Twitter's official account -- and now a landing page for the new service can be found at music.twitter.com. Signing in and syncing with your Twitter account does nothing at the moment, although it is expected that the service will officially be available in the immediate future, possibly during the Coachella music festival this weekend.

According to AllThingsD, the service will make music suggestions based on a number of factors, such as what you are listening to and what musicians you may be following on the social network. Through these suggestions users will be able to stream samples of music with the help of services like Soundcloud and iTunes, or watch videos provided by Vevo.

With the recent inclusion of video sharing service Vine, Twitter is quickly becoming a one-stop shop for consuming a wide variety of content without ever having to leave the app. Will the new music service help the company out even further? From the looks of it, we'll be able to find out sooner than later.
