Drake is bringing his OVO lifestyle brand to the street — literally. The accomplished rapper will be opening a brick-and-mortar store in his native city of Toronto.

The rapper’s right-hand man, Oliver El-Khatib, the creative head of OVO, is helping to get the store up and running. Last month, he debuted an image of the shop on Instagram. The photo featured a storefront with the OVO logo printed on paper that covered the window, likely to hide the renovations inside.

On Friday (Nov. 21) Drake posted a photo to Instagram detailing the store’s opening. He didn’t give a specific date or location but the hashtag he used references Toronto, which has been nicknamed “The 6.” The image showcases a basic brick structure that has the OVO logo on it, which is a gold outline of an owl.

“Proud of my guy @oliverelkhatibe,” wrote Drizzy, who’s currently working on his new album, ‘Views From the 6.’ “OVO  store opening soon. #6Side.”

While that bit of news over the weekend was celebratory, last night was anything but since the Young Money artist lost to Iggy Azalea for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album at the 2014 American Music Awards. The Aussie rapper also beat out Eminem.
