Cuffing season is over, so it’s only right to kick off the summer with a breakup song. Cue Mariah Carey‘s new Jermaine Dupri-produced track ‘You Don’t Know What to Do’ with Wale.

The upbeat song finds Mariah leaving her lover and feeling great. “Boy, I’m feeling brand new / Since you turned me loose,” she sings. “Now all you can do, is listen to me sing.”

Wale adds his thoughts by letting his lady know they should work it out despite the setbacks. “Suckin’ your teeth, don’t f— up my mood / I’m tryna give it all to you / I can understand there’s things we go through / But see girl you’re bad let’s see this here through,” he rhymes.

The singer performed the emancipating song last week on the ‘Today’ show and graced The Russ Parr Show with the official audio.

‘You Don’t Know What to Do’ follows the songstress’ release of ‘Thirsty’ featuring Rich Homie Quan. “You tryna be a boss now / Thinkin’ you a G now / Boy, you just looking thirsty,” she sings on that record. Seems like there’s an “out with the old, in with the new” theme going on with the tracks featured on her forthcoming album.

MC releases ‘Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse’ on May 27.
