by Falcons Fans The New Orleans Saints got a rude and messy welcome to Atlanta last night ... as airport workers hurled eggs at a charter bus carrying the team!

The smelly assault went down moments after the Saints got off the plane in Atlanta and boarded a bus. Officials at Atlanta's airport confirm that eggs were thrown at the bus as it drove off the tarmac.

Several Saints players, including star tight end Jimmy Graham, blamed airport workers for the incident.

Airport officials say they are scrambling to find out who's unleashed the eggy hell.

The Saints flew in for tonight's game against the Atlanta Falcons -- and we're guessing the egg culprits are big fans of the dirty birds.

Fun fact: Eggs can really mess up your paint job, guys.

Boondock Saints 3 Happening?

UPDATE: Well, that was short-lived. Norman Reedus tweeted the following denial shortly after word of a Boondock Saints 3 spread online: "no part three. sorry guys."

Norman Reedus is best known as The Walking Dead's Daryl Dixon these days, but Boondock Saints fans will always think of the actor as Murphy MacManus. And now Reedus says a third film in that cult fave series could be happening.

In an interview with IFC, Reedus said that the film is "definitely in the works." He then added, "Look for it. It's gonna be crazy." He also noted that he was meeting with costar Sean Patrick Flanery and writer-director Troy Duffy that same night.

IFC adds that there's no script yet, but still -- 10 years passed between the first film and the second. Compared to that, these guys are way ahead of the game for Part 3.
