G-Unit member Lloyd Banks has officially been released by Canadian immigration officials after being detained for 24 hours following an arrest for assault.
According to MTV News, Banks was released on Wednesday (Jan. 13) morning, and was allowed to return to the United States.
On Friday (Jan. 8), Banks allegedly assaulted a show promoter/booking agent after a show in Brantford, Ontario. There was apparently a dispute over money.
Following the altercation, Banks and his entourage were arrested around 5:30 AM on Saturday (Jan. 9). The rapper later posted $50,000 bail, and his associates posted $25,000 each. However, Banks and one other member of his entourage, Nicklas Sloane, were detained by immigration services for unspecified issues.
According to the rapper's lawyer, Sloane is still in custody, awaiting a hearing on Thursday (Jan. 14).
