Gucci Mane Teams With Young Thug for 'Heart Attack'

Heart AttackCoverAudiomack

Even though Gucci Mane has been locked up since last year, he’s still serving his fans new music. His latest product to hit the streets is the Young Thug-assisted song ‘Heart Attack,’ produced by Zaytoven.

Thugger does the singing while Gucci handles the rap verses and uses pretty solid wordplay. “Lamborghini with the doors up, pull up and she chose up / Froze up so she chose us / Better ask these hoes, they know us / She watching me like a movie, Gucci Mane got his numbers up,” he raps.

Young Thug starts the song and uses his signature whiny flow to describe a certain female. “She don’t remember that designer on her, I don’t remember how many times I boned her / And she the bomb like Lotus Flower on her, I ain’t snitchin’ but I told her I really wanna change to a pimp,” he sings.

‘Heart Attack’ will be on Gucci’s ‘Brick Factory 3' album. The rapper will be released from prison in 2016.

Gucci Mane Flourishes Once Again on 'Trap Numbers'

Gucci ManeGucci Mane

Gucci Mane is involved in some serious legal drama right now with federal gun charges on his head among other things. There’s a possibility he may not even be a free man by the end of the year, but the uncertainty doesn’t stop him from releasing new music. His latest offering is the celebratory ‘Trap Numbers.’

The single cover comes with the words “#FreeGuwop,” but Mane doesn’t sound too worried about his legal issues on the traptastic track. ‘Trap Numbers’ recalls the simpler times in 2009-10 when Gucci was at the top of his game in terms of popularity and wealth.

He giddily boasts, “I got a loaded German rifle on my seat / I spend a half million dollars in a week,” and exclaims on the hook that his “Trap doin’ numbers.” His callback to his peak years isn’t just thematic either. There’s a smidgeon of the pop sensibility he had that made songs like ‘Lemonade‘ such a hit.

‘Trap Numbers’ doesn’t sound like something that will inspire more fellow prisoners to free him, however. Last week, a prisoner at the Williamsburg federal prison in Salters, S.C., put together legal papers to help him beat gun charges.

After Young Jeezy Jabs, Gucci Mane Disses Another ATL Rapper

Friday, Oct 19, 2012 2:40PM

Written by Cyrus Langhorne

Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane appears to be keeping his rap beefs local after recently dissing Young Jeezy, now going after former Bad Boy Records artist Yung Joc.

On Gucci's new "F*ck the World" track, he takes direct aim at Joc and Jeezy's former manager.

On his track, "F*ck The World", off of his newly released Trap God mixtape, Gucci goes after Yung Joc in the second verse of the song. Gucci claims that Yung Joc, who was previously signed to Bad Boy South and had the hit song "It's Going Down", is broke as a joke. In the lyric Gucci also goes after Kenneth "Block" Russell, Jeezy's ex-manager. "I got all eyes on me like Pac did/But I ain't tryin' to go broke like Joc did/I ain't tryin' to f**k my deal up like Block did." Block previously had a deal with Bad Boy South that went belly up after the artists he signed didn't produce up to Diddy's standards. (All Hip Hop)

This week, "King of the South" T.I. refused to get involved in the Gucci/Jeezy feud.

"I got my mind set on a big sack with a lot of money in it," T.I. said. "Anything not of that understanding and of that nature, I don't really see it. So I don't really know what you're asking me about it. [He's got a situation with him and Jeezy?] And I think you just ended it right there. You said it all. You know what I'm saying, I don't know. A lot of times things happen in life and we never know why. The focus is what counts, man. I'm focused on that sack, champ. I'm focused on that sack. I'm trying to get myself right up there where Jay[-Z] and them are at." (Hot 107.9)

R&B singer Keyshia Cole has also addressed the situation and refused to get involved.

"That ain't my business!! he's lying! its all G tho. RT @iMBRiTTANYDUh: Gucci Mane wrong for putting @KeyshiaCole buisness out there.," Cole tweeted Sunday (October 14).
"Putting all ya trust in some of these "Hood Rappers".. How u gone be a G, and u spreading lies, To sell mix tapes! Where ya talent at??"
"Basically. Dude ain't have 2 lie tho! could've kept me out of it. RT @TokioRose: @KeyshiaCole Mediocrity always attacks excellence."
"I will continue 2 build what I'm working so hard accomplish! I'm married with a child, and don't have no place in that none sense!" (Keyshia Cole's Twitter)

On his new "Truth" track, the Atlanta rapper claims Cole had sex with Diddy.

"I ain't playing wit ya, I ain't trying to dance wit ya/I ain't using hands, let them rubberbands get ya/It take money to go to war and we can go to war n*gga /I ain't no real rapper, I'm a f*cking grave digger /I'm a old school fool, don't make me show my age n*gga /Grab a Louisville and turn it to a batting cage n*gga /I did a song with Keyshia Cole and I know you still miss her /But Puff was f*cking her while you was falling in love wit her /Call you to do a song, wouldn't even smoke no bud wit ya /I was screaming so icy and was a neighborhood n*gga /This AR is my back up cause I don't need nan n*gga /Must didn't hear when Flocka said "Let them guns blam n*gga!" ("Truth")
