February has been filled with music highlights both good and bad. Kanye West continued to do his Kanye West thing at the Grammys, Kendrick Lamar’s “The Blacker the Berry” proved he could still deliver the grittiness hip-hop heads love despite their disdain for “i” and Big Sean’s third album, Dark Sky Paradise, is finally being released. Now it’s time to see what March holds in the world of rap and R&B with new music releases.

One of the highly anticipated LPs of the month is from Action Bronson, who’s dropping his debut album after releasing a killer line of mixtapes (‘Blue Chips’ with Party Supplies, ‘Rare Chandeliers’ with the Alchemist). Mr. Wonderful will likely find Bronsolino up to his old tricks as he’s featuring frequent collaborators Party Supplies, Meyham Lauren, the Alchemist and Big Body Bes. The project is scheduled to drop on March 24.

The star power also arrives in albums from underground artists. The highly regarded Tech N9ne will release his 15th solo album, Special Effects, on March 17. Then there’s Mello Music Group’s Persona and the return of Cannibal Ox with Blade of the Ronin.

Ludacris‘ long-awaited Ludaverse is expected to drop on March 31, closing out the month. There’s been very little hype generated from his prior 2015 songs, so it will be interesting to see how this effort fares in the current music climate. This will be the rapper’s first album since 2010's Battle of the Sexes.
