Contact Us It looks like a war is brewing between two of the biggest moguls in the rap game. Settlement talks have deteriorated and now it seems that Lil Wayne will sue Birdman and Cash Money Records. According to TMZ, Weezy is reportedly going to slap Baby with an $8 million lawsuit for violating his contract and holding his oft-delayed album, ‘Tha Carter V,’ hostage. The two have been in negotiations this past week and they could not reach an agreement. As we previously reported, Wayne says that ‘TC5’ is complete but Baby believes that it still needs work. As for Weezy’s $8 million claim, the Cash Money CEO reportedly said that it was a loan. Birdman also stated that he will release the album “in due time,” but Wayne is not hearing any of that. In fact, Tunechi spits a few lyrical shots at Birdman on his new ‘Sorry 4 the Wait 2’ mixtape. On a freestyle over O.T. Genasis’ song ‘CoCo,’ the rapper describes Cash Money as a “garden full of snakes” and compares signing to the label as doing a prison bid. “Did my time in Cash Money, time served and released / But this agent ain’t free, word, that’s the word on these streets,” he raps. Attorneys for both Lil Wayne and Birdman had no comment on the matter.
