Waka Flocka Flame Reminds You He Can Really Rap on 'Fire Squad' Freestyle

Multi-syllable words, strong wordplay and even a little social commentary. No, we’re not talking about Common or Jay Electronica; this is Waka Flocka Flame and he’s showing out on his new ‘Fire Squad’ freestyle.

Over the J. Cole beat featured on his new album, ’2014 Forest Hills Drive,’ the Atlanta, Ga. rapper goes all the way in and destroys the popular belief that he can’t deliver deep lyrics.

“N—-s acting like they’re kings ’til I walk up on their throne / Take a piss, kiss the ring, know it hurts, know it stings / Red alert on the beam, Flocka home, the kids misdirected and the cops are wrong / Man they ratting on each other, then they back at home / Acting like it never happened, backstabbing,” he spits.

The former ‘Love & Hip Hop’ star even touches on police brutality, which comes at a time when the nation is witnessing protests in the wake of the Eric Garner and Mike Brown no indictment decisions.

“Made a dollar out a quarter, made some dollars off of quarters / Now the shows across the borders and they’re slaughtering our daughters / And they’re killing all our sons, this s— ain’t just for fun / We used to put our hands up and box on the block / Now you put your hands up and get shot by a cop,” raps Waka.

The freestyle will likely appear on the rapper’s forthcoming mixtape, ‘I Can’t Rap Vol. 2,’ a truly ironic name since he actually can deliver solid bars.

No word yet on when the tape will be released.
