Cam'ron Retiring From Rap After 'Purple Haze 2′ Drops in 2015 [VIDEO]

Following the 10-year anniversary of his ‘Purple Haze’ album, Cam’ron announces he is bowing out of the rap game with ‘Purple Haze 2’ as his final album.

The Harlem rhymer posted an Instagram video on Wednesday (Dec. 10) of himself going to the burial site of his best friend, Huddy Combs (aka Huddy 6). While the video was emotional, the caption was just as moving.

“Fresh off da flight.. To see my brother.. HUD 6 told me lastnite.. #AChangeGoneCome ..my last album.. #PurpleHaze2 this summer.. It’s been fun.. But HUD said we got other things to do. #Hud6,” wrote Killa Cam.

The news prompted Cam’s longtime friend, journalist Miss Info, to investigate if Cam is really calling it quits — especially when his DJ Atrak x Cam’ron ‘Federal Reserve’ project has yet to be released.

“Yeah, it’s a wrap,” he told Miss Info. “Time to move on.”

But just because Killa Cam is retiring from rap that doesn’t mean his fans won’t be seeing more of him with his other projects.

“Movies and clothing are doing really well for me right now,” he continued. “I’m helping Mendeecees [Yandy’s husband from 'Love & Hip Hop New York] with his album. And… I’m building a club in Vegas.”

No word on when ‘Purple Haze 2’ will drop, but hopefully, Cam’ron will surprise his fans with a mixtape before it arrives.
