In today’s world of technology, social media, and fast paced information, sometimes it’s hard to remember what life is really all about, like family and friends. That’s what Big K.R.I.T. conveys in the visuals for ‘Soul Food,’ featuring Raphael Saadiq, off his latest release ‘Cadillactica.’

There’s a sincere warmth to the video as director Alex Nazari uses shots of a family getting together in the backyard, as everyone is immersed in good food and good times.

There’s also a scene that shows a couple in love, as they walk hand-in-hand towards a tree to carve their initials into it. The whole clip has a nostalgic tone to it and shows life’s simple pleasures.

The former Tony! Toni! Tone! frontman, who sings the hook, is dressed down in a simple button-up shirt and baseball cap as he sits by a window delivering the lyrics.

Overall, the visual is void of the usual things you see in rap videos like bodacious women and exotic cars.
