Lil Wayne was on fire earlier this week at the American Music Awards and now the rapper is making his voice heard loud and clear on T-Boz’s ‘Rebel Yell.’

We got the first listen of T-Boz and Lil Wayne’s take on rock ‘n’ roll legend Billy Idol’s classic song of the same name in 2012, when a snippet made its way onto the Internet. The track was reportedly recorded in 2009, as part of T-Boz’s debut solo album, but was never released.

The TLC singer and the YMCMB boss, who released his own rock ‘n’ roll  album, ‘Rebirth,’ in 2010, pair well on the cut. Weezy opens up the track in full out rocker mode, dropping a few raunchy quotes. “To a rebel, now hear me yell ho / Fireman, turn your p—- to a hell hole,” he raps.

Meanwhile, T-Boz maintains her cool, offering her sultry whisper with a twist on the song’s original lyrics. “Last night a little dancer came dancing to your door / Last night it got freaky, and started dancin’ on the floor / He said, now come to me babe, I got a license for love / And if it expires, I can’t help you no more,” she sings.

The surprise revealing of the full track could be just another ode to Carter Season with the Dec. 9 release of ‘Tha Carter V’ approaching.

And could T-Boz’s long-delayed solo project be on its way? She’s been working at it for years now, and even premiered new music in January 2013, along with her musical journey in the TLC reality show ‘Totally T-Boz.’ If there is more where ‘Rebel Yell’ came from, T-Boz has been doing a good job keeping her music under wraps.
