Rapper 50 Cent practically invented the mixtape hustle, so it only makes sense that his son would follow in his footsteps.
However, Marquise Jackson didn’t put out new music, he released a visual mixtape of himself playing basketball, and by the looks of it, he’s pretty good.
According to Slam, Jackson’s team, St. John’s Military Academy, went head-to-head against Brewster Academy, the No. 1 ranked prep school in the U.S. The two teams faced-off at the National Prep Showcase in New Haven, Conn.
Jackson impressively scored 20 points and shot an amazing 75 percent from the field, but his team still came up short and lost to Brewster. But that didn’t keep the 5’9? high school graduate from putting together a brief clip showing what he did, as he displayed a mean crossover, outside range and strong passing ability.
In addition, the rapper’s son played against three players that are currently bound for D-1 schools, and he truly held his own. On top of that, last year he averaged 19 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists in his senior year, allowing him to make the First Team All Region.
At this point, he hasn’t made any mention of his future basketball plans. But it’s safe to say, he’s got game.
