Rick Ross Ditches Detroit Concert After Being Scared For His Life [VIDEO]

Rick Ross appears on the DJ Khaled single, ‘They Don’t Love You No More,’ and that seems to be the case in Detroit. On Saturday (June 21), Rozay was scheduled to close out Hot 107.5 FM’s annual Summer Jamz event in the Motor City but was denied.

According to MLive, Hot 107.5 Program Director Jay Hicks announced onstage that Ross was confronted by 100 individuals — reportedly Detroit rapper Trick Trick and his goon squad — in front of the venue. After a brief skirmish, Ross decided to leave the venue altogether.

“He is in fear of his life and that n—- is not performing here tonight and he may never come back to Detroit, and that’s no bulls—,” Hicks told the disappointed crowd.

Apparently, Ross is on Detroit’s “No Fly Zone” list, which means that any rapper who doesn’t collaborate with Detroit artists or pay a tithe to the city, are not welcomed. In the past, Trick Trick has enforced this rule allegedly on Young Berg, Trick Daddy and Styles P.

The incident doesn’t appear to have bother Ross much. In light of what could be an embarrassment to his rap persona, he went on his Twitter page to announce that he still has plenty of love for Detroit.

“Luv #Detroit I wuz ready to killm unite, heard it wuz a peace protest wit picket signs and locked gates haa,” he tweeted.

In the end, it looks like artists will have to pay their respects to Detroit before they can perform in the city.
