French Montana Flaunts Money and Power on 'Oooh Baby'

French Montana has said many times that he comes from a battle rap background and can get lyrical if he really wants to. While some may not know his history (witness a much younger Montana in battle rap form here), he offers a reminder of his rap skills on the new song ‘Oooh Baby.’

Produced by Dollar Bill and exclusively released by the L.A. Leakers camp, Frenchie goes in on the track although he’s not going bar for bar with his opponent. He mixes tricky wordplay with memorable lines for a perfect blend on the warm soulful track.

“Banana clips, rain on gorillas, bathing apes / Amazing grace, find God anyway, B.I.G. & Mase / Swiss coups I bought / Ski masks today and suits tomorrow / Plaques and Oscars, crabs and lobsters,” rhymes the Coke Boy representative. The cut precedes his official upcoming single ‘Don’t Panic.’

For the production, Dollar Bill gets the most out of a dope ’70's sample, which French rides wonderfully. Additionally, the laid-back vibe of the track is a stark contrast for the Bad Boy rapper’s menacing lyrics. “A rusty deuce-deuce turn your brain to couscous,” French spits.

‘Oooh Baby’ will be featured on French Montana’s next album, ‘Mac & Cheese 4,’ due later this year.
