Pharrell Williams Performs 'Happy' at 2014 Academy Awards

Pharrell Williams kicked off the 86th Annual Academy Awards with an energetic performance of his infectious single, ‘Happy.’ The hitmaker had everyone in attendance dancing to his Oscar-nominated song.

And yes, Skateboard P wore a black-colored Buffalo hat for his performance. Backed by a team of dancers of both women and children, Williams walked through the crowd as Oscar nominees Lupita Nyong’o and Amy Adams jumped out of their seats to shimmy with the producer. Meanwhile, Jamie Foxx and Kate Hudson were shaking their booties onstage.

‘Happy’ is nominated for Best Original Song at this year’s Oscars. If he wins, it will become the first Oscar-nominated song to win an award while perched atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It’s also the first Oscar-nominated tune to hit No. 1 since Eminem’s ‘Lose Yourself’ in 2004.

Good luck Pharrell Williams!
