In an attempt to make sense of the chaotic mass we call PC gaming, IGN's Anthony Gallegos and Charles Onyett put together a video show called Command Prompt. Barring any disastrous events or prolonged spells of acute laziness, new episodes will appear every week showing off three PC games (or two games and one toolset, in this case).
This time we talk about Diablo III's waning appeal, highlight The Binding of Isaac because it's awesome, and welcome Spelunky megafan Mitch Dyer for an overview of Valve's Source Filmmaker. The result is YouTube-related nonsense, which is where the DMX part comes in near the end of the video.
Diablo III
Blizzard's action-RPG that triggers an internet firestorm every time it's mentioned. We play, try to not die, and talk about what we'd like to see in future updates.
The Binding of IsaacFlorian Himsl and Edmund McMillen's disturbing, somehow endearing dungeon crawler where you shoot tears of sorrow to survive. Just a great game we wanted to highlight.
Source FilmmakerValve's free toolset that lets anyone create cool videos. Yet another way Valve encourages its community to be creative and also to flood YouTube with hilarious nonsense.
Charles Onyett is an Executive Editor at IGN, leads PC game coverage and is unreasonably excited about playing Tiny Wings 2 this weekend. You can follow him on Twitter and My IGN.
Anthony Gallegos is an Editor on IGN's PC team. He enjoys scaring the crap out of himself with horror games and then releasing some steam in shooters like Blacklight and Tribes. You can follow him on Twitter and on IGN.
