During the interview last week Jay-Z and Nelson discussed the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards and Kanye West’s now infamous acceptance speech fiasco. Nelson explained to Jay-Z that he didn’t believe West would have acted that way if 50 Cent were accepting an award instead.
Jay-Z went on to say that “no one is scared of 50 Cent” and that West would have acted the same way if 50 Cent [click to read] were on stage and not Taylor Swift.
When the subject of Jay-Z and West was brought up during 50 Cent’s interview on HOT97, 50 Cent seemed unfazed by Jay-Z’s comments.
“He should address the guy that made him feel like a punk…He had to make it clear that no one’s scared of 50 Cent, because that person was obviously making [him] feel like he’s afraid or Kanye West is afraid of 50 Cent. It wasn’t 50 Cent, and the public misinterpreted,” explained 50 Cent.
50 Cent [click to listen] went on to call Jay-Z “the coolest punk in Hip Hop” and even referred to West and Lady Gaga’s upcoming Fame Tour as the “Gay Tour.”
