Rodney King dead at 47
Rodney King, the man whose videotaped beating by Los Angeles police officers in 1991 sparked some of the deadliest race riots in U.S. history, was found dead on Sunday, Reuters reported. He was 47.
King was found dead in a pool and there were no signs of foul play, Reuters reported, citing California police.
King was beaten by Los Angeles Police Department officers on March 3, 1991. A bystander videotaped much of the incident from a distance.
Violence broke out after a California jury acquitted three white and one Hispanic Los Angeles police officers in his beating.
The riots that erupted on April 29, 1992, were among the most lethal in U.S. history. By the time order was restored, 53 people had died, nearly 3,000 people were injured and thousands of businesses were damaged or destroyed.
Nearly a year later, a federal jury convicted two of the police officers of a federal charge of violating King’s civil rights and sentenced them to 30 months in prison. Two other officers were acquitted. King eventually received a $3.8 million settlement from the city, and the case led to sweeping changes in LAPD.
King had recently been promoting his just-published memoir, "The Riot Within: My Journey From Rebellion to Redemption."

I have been in the lab, working on my latest mixtape for the summer. "R-Stonze Vs. Stoney" aka RVS. This tape will contain 22 tracks, and it will be hosted by DJ Nuera and DJ Ill Will. The wait is almost over, so just bare with me. If you have been a fan of my music for a while, then this mixtape will be a breath of fresh air for you. I'm trying to switch the Cleveland music scene up and show the city that there really is talent here.
I'm far from a 1 dimensional artist, and I display that very well on #RVS. You should be on the lookout for some official videos off #RVS coming soon too. I know the streets is going to fuck with this tape, and only a hater would turn their back to real talent. Zombie Alert : NJ Man Throws His Intestines At Police
Adding fuel to the fire is the bizarre case of Wayne Carter, a New Jersey man who allegedly cut out his intestines and threw them at police on Sunday.
The gruesome scene played out at Carter’s Hackensack, N.J., home after police were called based on reports that the 43-year-old man was barricaded in his room with a knife and planning on harming himself, according to the local NBC station. The cops kicked in the door and ordered Carter to drop the knife. Ignoring the officers’ orders, Carter allegedly began stabbing himself in the abdomen, neck and legs instead. Attempts to subdue him with pepper spray did nothing but seemed to enrage him. That’s when officers say Carter began throwing pieces of his skin and entrails at the cops. Wisely, the police retreated.
The police called in the Bergen County SWAT team, which was able to eventually subdue Carter and get him to a hospital, where he remains in critical condition. No charges have been filed because of the unusual nature of the case, according to NBC New York. Hackensack police lieutenant John Heinemann told reporters that he believes drugs or mental illness may have led to the horrific incident, but those details haven’t been confirmed. After everything else this week, zombie apocalypse seems just as likely anyway.

8 different Events Surrounding The FL Zombie Attack

No one can deny the recent face-eating attack by the Miami Zombie in Florida is a gruesome and criminal tragedy, and one easily rationalized away by the never-failing explanation of severe drug abuse.
However, when examined in the overview of recent events in Florida, this cannibalistic attack appears to be an escalating part of a series of strange events that began in that area ten days before.
The Miami Zombie, or Naked Cannibal, incident was on May 26, 2012. Here are eight other odd events which occurred within 13 days of that attack:
- May 16, 2012: 15 Students and 2 adults break out in a mystery rash after a hazmat exposure at McArthur High School in Hollywood, Florida. The infected appeared to be okay after enduring a decontamination gauntlet, but the cause of the outbreak was not discovered.
- May 18, 2012: An unknown chemical exposure shuts down Terminal Two, the Delta Airlines concourse, at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Three TSA agents and two passengers are sent to the hospital with respiratory ailments.
- May 21, 2012: A man in Westchester, Illinois, is apprehended after he grabs an 18-year-old woman by the throat and bites into her cheek.
- May 23, 2012: Another Broward county school, this time Lauderdale Lakes Middle School, is put on lockdown while a hazmat squad investigates another contamination incident. Four students and a teacher in a science classroom had a red rash on their wrists, but all report they were not working with chemicals.
- May 25, 2012: Hazmat and emergency personnel respond to a Lake County, Florida school after 27 children and adults are sickened on a school bus.
- May 25, 2012: A “disoriented” passenger on American Airlines flight 320 from Jamaica to Florida (please note my plausibility of contagion travel to Florida in the article “Is the Miami Zombie part of a government cover-up”) rushes the front of the plane and has to be subdued by his fellow passengers.
- May 26, 2012: The gruesome attack by the so-called “Miami Zombie” in which the naked Rudy Eugene attacks a man, actually eating away large sections of his face. The responding police officer shoots him, only to have him turn and growl at the officer before finally succumbing to additional gunshots. The current official explanation cites a variant of LSD “bath salts” as the reason for Eugene’s horrific behavior and apparent strength.
- May 26, 2012: On that same day, a Florida anesthesiologist spits blood in the face of a Florida Highway Patrolman who pulls him over for drunk driving. The involved Dr. Zachary Bird is violently agitated and in possession of large quantities of cash and some unknown pills.
- May 29, 2012: A man in the Spring Valley area of San Diego bites part of his cousin’s nose offin a fight. Taken individually, it is easy to dismiss these as random unfortunate events. When reviewed as part of a larger picture, consider them as food for thought, rather than becoming food for zombies.Locally, the Longmont Zombie Examiner will continue to monitor the Colorado and Rocky Mountain region for any zombie, or other, paranormal occurrences.

Also known as “bath salts Zombies” a name first coined by the local media in reference to drug dealers who use bath salts to “stomp on” their drugs (LSD, Meth, Coke, and Heroin) to increase the dealer’s quantity thereby sharply increasing profits. Street slang for using bath salts to cut high grade narcotics is called the… “Zombie Pathogen,” since bath salts rapidly increase the body’s temperature to the point of cooking the brain usually resulting in psychotic episodes, seizures, violence and death.
Similar cases of impromptu cannibal attacks began just days ago with the first incident occurring in Florida, then 24 hours later in Texas. The panic driven American media circus immediately coined the two events as the “2012 Zombie Apocalypse.” Officials with the CDC confirmed a short time ago that the Florida and Texas incidents have been linked to the dangerous practice of mixing the so-called Zombie Pathogen.

Once this deadly recipe is ingested by unsuspecting users its affects cannot be predicted. CDC officials are closely monitoring the situation and hope to contain distribution of these tainted drugs to the three primary areas where Zombie-type attacks have already occurred.
Los Angeles County officials are asking everyone to remain calm and to remain indoors. Dr. Nguyen added “We are working closely with CDC officials to determine if the few cases of cannibalism reported late last night in Los Angeles are linked to the spread of the Zombie Pathogen.

Earlier LAPD spokesmen, Capt. Arturo Sanchez confirmed the LAPD 911 communications center had received scant reports of spontaneous acts of cannibalism from Los Angeles’ Garment District, Little Tokyo and Lincoln Heights areas. Sanchez added the LAPD and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department believe they have already quarantined all those suspected of being affected.
I was fortunate enough too call an old Christian friend after arriving at LAX who happens to be a patrol division lieutenant with the LAPD to see if I could get additional details. The LAPD is now arriving in downtown Los Angeles en masse. Many SWAT vehicles are seen with LAPD’s air support above. Considering it’s a weekday afternoon the downtown area is a surreal scene. Normally thousands of people would be walking, driving and going about their daily business, but today the downtown area looks almost deserted.
Small groups of people stand on street corners talking and looking at the strange spectacle, many appear to be homeless, but all have taken notice of the eerie silence that has fallen over the city. A number of cars, most on surface streets appear in a hurry to leave downtown.

Center For Disease Control Warns Public To Prepare For Zombie Apocalypse
Are you prepared for the impending zombie invasion?
That's the question posed by the Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention in a Monday blog posting gruesomely titled, "Preparedness 101: Zombie Apocalypse." And while it's no joke, CDC officials say it's all about emergency preparation.
"There are all kinds of emergencies out there that we can prepare for," the posting reads. "Take a zombie apocalypse for example. That's right, I said z-o-m-b-i-e a-p-o-c-a-l-y-p-s-e. You may laugh now, but when it happens you'll be happy you read this, and hey, maybe you'll even learn a thing or two about how to prepare for a real emergency."
The post, written by Assistant Surgeon General Ali Khan, instructs readers how to prepare for "flesh-eating zombies" much like how they appeared in Hollywood hits like "Night of the Living Dead" and video games like Resident Evil. Perhaps surprisingly, the same steps you'd take in preparation for an onslaught of ravenous monsters are similar to those suggested in advance of a hurricane or pandemic.
"First of all, you should have an emergency kit in your house," the posting continues. "This includes things like water, food, and other supplies to get you through the first couple of days before you can locate a zombie-free refugee camp (or in the event of a natural disaster, it will buy you some time until you are able to make your way to an evacuation shelter or utility lines are restored)."
Other items to be stashed in such a kit include medications, duct tape, a battery-powered radio, clothes, copies of important documents and first aid supplies.
"Once you've made your emergency kit, you should sit down with your family and come up with an emergency plan," the posting continues. "This includes where you would go and who you would call if zombies started appearing outside your doorstep. You can also implement this plan if there is a flood, earthquake or other emergency."
The idea behind the campaign stemmed from concerns of radiation fears following the earthquake and tsunami that rocked Japan in March. CDC spokesman Dave Daigle told FoxNews.com that someone had asked CDC officials if zombies would be a concern due to radiation fears in Japan and traffic spiked following that mention.
"It's kind of a tongue-in-cheek campaign," Daigle said Wednesday. "We were talking about hurricane preparedness and someone bemoaned that we kept putting out the same messages."
While metrics for the post are not yet available, Daigle said it has become the most popular CDC blog entry in just two days.
"People are so tuned into zombies," he said. "People are really dialed in on zombies. The idea is we're reaching an audience or a segment we'd never reach with typical messages."

Real Life : 2nd Zombie Attack In The US Within A Week
Report: Maryland man eats roommate's heart, brain, second zombie-like cannibal attack within a week

JOPPATOWNE, Md. - A former Morgan State student charged with murdering a man told investigators he ate the victim's heart and part of his brain. That's according to charging documents filed in Harford County District Court.
21-year-old Alexander Kinyua faces first degree murder charges. Investigators say Kinyua first became a suspect when his brother found what he thought were human remains in the basement of the family's house.
The brother told his father. But when the father went downstairs, Kinyua was cleaning out a canister and there were no signs of human remains.
While detectives have not positively identified the body, police say they have a strong suspicion it's the missing man.
Agyei-Kodie was last seen near his home in the 500 block of Terrapin Terrace in Joppatowne. Investigators say he had left his house for a run, but never returned.
Harford County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Monica Worrell says as a result of a search and seizure warrant, deputies found body parts in the Terrapin Terrace home. Body parts were also found in a nearby dumpster.
